“Barbara shared Commit to Confidence to a packed house. Her energy, enthusiasm, and passion were clear as she led us through fun exercises and gave us tips to make us better communicators. I still use many of the tricks Barbara taught us. In fact, some of the exercises helped me successfully navigate job interviews. I highly recommend her.”
- Pamela Freed, Wharton Women in Business
A wise person once said, “The difference between who you are and who you want to be is what you do.” That’s the truth: confidence is essential to personal and career success, and until there is an app for that, we have to act our way into a new way of thinking and feeling.
No one has to succumb to the icky feelings of fear, doubt and insecurity. Yet, we do. And we are not the only ones who lose. Audiences, bosses, direct reports, family members all lose when we are not acting from our most authentic and powerful selves.
Commit to Confidence is my first effort at helping my coaching clients recalibrate their confidence level. Whether it was to get the promotion, make the sale, have the difficult conversation, remove distractions, or simply feel more focused and productive, the tips, tricks, and coaching sessions in this book helped get my clients closer to their goals. In some cases, it was an out-of-the-park, walk-off home run.
Why the name “Commit to Confidence?” Well, I explain it in the acknowledgments in more depth, but the point is, if you don’t commit to something, it’s not likely to happen.
I am working on the second edition so please feel free to reach out to me with any suggestions on topics or success stories.
